Crosses

Pipe crosses, often called four-way fittings, typically have female-threaded ends or sockets that are solvent-welded. They have one inlet and three exits. Because cross pneumatic fittings are four-way, they can cause stress on pipes when temperatures fluctuate. Pipe crossings are therefore typically not utilized as plumbing hydraulic components. In contrast, pipe crossings are more advantageous in scenarios like fire sprinkler system applications where thermal expansion is not a concern.
